Film & Stage Producer, Carpenter & Cabinet Maker, Singer, Actor (and a pretty damn good cook!)

Education: St. John’s College, major in Criminal Justice, minor in Business
Production Website: www.shootingstar-usa.com
Residence: Wellfleet, MA
Hometown: Staten Island, NY
Spouse: Bill Jacobs

After 23 years working in corporate business in claims legal, John made the jump to the entertainment industry, co-producing (with his husband, Bill Jacobs) the independent feature film, When the Moon Was Twice as Big.

Wearing many hats as co-owner of the media production company Shooting Star Creativeworks, John has coordinated with the Screen Actors Guild (SAG/AFTRA), done location scouting, and has used his expertise in carpentry and design to create exceptional movie sets and props.  Since moving to Cape Cod, John has also lent his specialized skills to produce set pieces for highly-praised theatrical productions.  For John, life is truly a creative adventure … and he’s loving every moment of it!

Working in the creative arts – when it’s done with passion and a devotion to humanity – transcends the common definition of “work.” It’s no longer just a task, or a project to complete. It becomes a commitment, to yourself, to your community, to every heart and mind you’re striving to touch. But, still … it IS a lot of WORK!
