Bark Park

Life from both ends of the lead

A Comedy from Two Perspectives  ·  Written and Directed by Jim Dalglish, with Jennifer Kangas as associate director

Every dog in a New York City dog run has an owner. Every owner has a story. And every story looks completely different depending on which end of the leash you're standing on.

Bark Park is a comedy in two acts, both set in a dog run in New York's Central Park. Part One follows Mia and Mike — a driven, ambitious newcomer and the self-appointed mayor of the Strawberry Fields dog run — two strangers drawn together by a border collie puppy who refuses to cooperate with anyone. Part Two gives the dogs their own voice, as Truman and Jimmy follow their canine instincts and discover what freedom actually costs.

Written and directed by Jim Dalglish, Bark Park received its world premiere at Cotuit Center for the Arts in 2014 and was named one of the Cape Cod Times' favorite productions of the year.

✦  A note on this production: All four roles are double cast, with a different casting configuration each night. We'll be announcing which actors are performing on which nights — so keep an eye on this page and our social media for updates. Stay tuned!
